For half of the people here in the U.S. it is a pejorative for the other half it is a synonym for caring.
I want to be a groomer, I want to help people, I want them to know that there is a safe place for them. I want them to know that someone cares for them.
When a parent accepts their child as trans or gay… that’s grooming and I hope that there are more groomers.
When a teacher uses the proper pronouns… that’s grooming and I hope that there are more groomers.
When a child calls a LGBTQ+ suicide hotline… that’s grooming and I hope that there are more groomers.
When people care for each other it is grooming, and I want more groomers in the world.
The animus that the Republicans are creating against LGBTQ+ people and our allies is all for one purpose that they are willing to life long harm to child all because they want power!
"Save the Children" means to the conservatives for them to grow up as good little straight conservatives and anything other than that goal is “Grooming” of course they don’t see that as grooming.

December 5, 2023Despite billing itself as a “grassroots organization,” Moms for Liberty (M4L) is an anti-LGBTQ extremist group with powerful national connections. Co-founder Bridget Ziegler is married to Florida Republic Party Chair Christian Ziegler, who was recently accused of sexual assault by a woman who previously had a three-way sexual relationship with the couple. In light of the allegations, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a longtime M4L supporter, has asked Christian to resign. One local M4L chapter in Pennsylvania even broke off from the national organization.
These allegations follow years of Moms for Liberty and supporters like Christian Ziegler deploying false and revolting rhetoric about LGBTQ people. This ongoing disinformation campaign, including the use of harmful “groomer” language, is central to M4L’s anti-LGBTQ playbook. It has serious social and political ramifications for America’s 1.9 million LGBTQ youth, who are directly impacted by anti-LGBTQ laws and school policies.
Under Elon Musk’s leadership of Twitter, tweets linking LGBT people to “grooming” have skyrocketed, jumping 119 percent since Musk’s takeover in October 2022, according to a new report released by the Center For Countering Digital Hate (CCDH).
The study also found that Twitter is making millions from big-name advertisers, whose brands are appearing alongside hateful anti-LGBT rhetoric.
“Tolerance of this content is part of Elon Musk’s business model,” said Callum Hood, Head of Research at CCDH, who helped write the new study. “There is real world stuff happening now that appears to be a result of this rhetoric online.”
