Fantasia Fair Day 1

I drove up to P’town from my Wellfleet cottage to register for the fair and I had to drive around the block twice to find a parking spacethen I had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the Boatslip to register. I didn't stay long and there were a couple of friends that I met there and said "Hi" to. The weather is perfect! So it was a god day for a walk, the high was in the upper 50’s, sunny and no wind, yesterday’s wind from tropical storm Michael that is passing out to sea and is heading for England has died down.

At night there was the opening night reception at the Pilgrim House. It was a night of meeting old friends and making new friends. The main reason I go to Fantasia Fair is to meet friends, some of us have been attending the Fair off and on for over a decade. I don’t usually attend most of the workshops because they are mainly for trans people who are just coming out or for couples. I do like the noon talks and also the lunches.

Over lunches I can sit with friends and catch-up on what happened since last year, but I have to confess with Facebook I am pretty up-to-date on gossip.

Today's forecast... showers & high in to the middle 50s.
