WINDHAM, N.H. —
There is debate in Windham after a new transgender policy was recently approved by the school board.

The policy allows transgender students to choose bathrooms and locker rooms based on the gender they identify with.

It passed 4-0 at a school board meeting on Jan. 30.

One member of the school board, who was not present during the vote, said he would have voted against it.

The policy allows for students who identify as transgender to choose the bathroom, locker room and intramural sports team that aligns with their gender identity.

The locker room they choose will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Now we shall see what the state legislature does with the non-discrimination that is before the legislature this session.

I sometimes feel that their state motto of “Live Free Or Die’ means you live free and I die because you wanted the right to discriminate against others people because you don’t like us.
