Here Is A Question For You

As the LGBT population gets older there are a number of LGBT senior housing complexes being built, would you move to one?

If you Google “LGBT senior housing” you can find a number of retirement communities for “LGBT seniors” but if you look closely you will see they are mainly for lesbians and gays. For example and article in the Huffington Gay Voices is about a LGBT adult living center in Philadelphia,

Experts say gay seniors are less likely than their straight peers to have the financial and family resources to age in homes of their own. Many fear discrimination at traditional elder housing facilities, leading them back into the closet after years of being open.

Philadelphia now joins Los Angeles and Minneapolis as locations with designated gay-friendly, affordable senior housing, collectively offering about 200 units.

And if you read the rest of the article you will find that transgender is only mentioned once in the beginning of the article all the other references are to lesbians and gays. If you look at their webpage you will also only see lesbians and gays, how trans-friendly do you think they are?
