Up At The Lake In NH

My friends from Long Island that I visited a couple of weeks ago left for home just now beating the thunderstorms. The weather had been good for the weekend except for the storms that just passed (There’re supposed to a couple of more lines of thunderstorm passing by this evening.).

We didn’t do much except sit by the water and when we needed to cool off, we just jumped into the lake. This morning we went out to brunch at a restaurant in Sunapee that’s right on the water called the Anchorage. We first went to the Old Courthouse restaurant in Newport, but we needed reservations, which we didn’t have. So that is how we ended up at the Anchorage. We ate out on the covered patio and for brunch I had Lobster Benedict, it was excellent!

Here is a photo (click on the photo for a larger photo) of the place where we ate (the grey building) from across the harbor…

These are the tour boats that go around Lake Sunapee, the MV Mt. Sunapee II & the MV Kearsarge

And here is the sailboat that I want to get…

No, no, not that one… this one.

Now I think it is time to jump in the lake again...
